Get married at The Minories
There’s something irresistibly romantic about the Minories thanks to its listed Georgian building and intimate garden surrounds.
All of our packages have exclusive use of our historic building and gardens and our capacity for both wedding and reception is 45 people.
Couples who choose to get married here will say their vows either in the walled garden, or in our beautiful ballroom. Having an inside and outside space for weddings means you can have your special day with us in all weathers, and all year round.

Ceremony
Exchange vows in a choice of rooms within our historic building, or in the beautiful Gothic folly in the garden, with up to 45 of your guests.
Venue
The Minories building was built during the Tudor period and remodelled in the 1730s to fit Georgian tastes. It now houses Colchester's Oldest Art Gallery, which was established in 1956.
Reception
Book your wedding reception in our beautiful first-floor Ballroom.
