In this relaxed and informal panel, award-winning theatre maker Hannah Aria (founder of Neurodelicious), Anthony Stuart Hicks (Talent Development Producer - Mercury Theatre) and creative producer and coach, Steve Goatman, chat with Creative Colchester Programme Manager Anna Pool about the biggest challenges faced by neurodivergent creatives, and the best ways to help people thrive in creative settings.

We'll be discussing lots of topics important to the panel, including:

ND Self Limitation - Discovering and overcoming self limiting beliefs around your creative practice

Sensory overload- what is it and how can you manage it?

ND Funding - who funds ND focussed/led work and how do is it accessed?

Access Support - who supports ND creatives and how is it accessed?(including access riders)

ND cultural offer in Colchester - what's working and what isn't?

There will be plenty of opportunities to ask and discuss the questions you need from an insightful panel and audience, whether you are an ND practitioner yourself, an organisation looking to better support ND creatives or a neurotypical creative who simply wants to learn more!

Doors will open at 6.30 where there will be the opportunity to purchase drinks and chat to other network members. The panel discussion will last around an hour, beginning at 7.15. There will be more opportunities to chat after this has finished, throughout the Minories space.

It is vital for us that attendees to feel as comfortable as possible; our room set up will allow our audience to arrive/leave/move about and make noise as necessary throughout the discussion. Comfortable break out spaces including a low lit space will be available as and when required for attendees.
